Summer 2008 Camp Dates

DAILY CAMP ACTIVITIES

Soon it will be time for summer fun and our Summer Equestrian Day Camp which will be held Monday through Friday beginning June 9 through August 22, 2008.

Children ages 7-17 are welcome to participate in our horsemanship program. During the course of the week, campers will be introduced to the fundamentals of horse care and riding. Round pen and arena exercises as well as trail rides will give campers the opportunity to gain self-confidence around the horse, and experience the fun of horseback riding. Advanced instruction for students who are already familiar with basic equestrian skills will be available.

You will need to bring long pants, sturdy shoes or boots ( with a heel, if possible), a hat and sunscreen. Protective riding helmets are provided and all campers must wear a helmet while riding. Our experienced instructors are trained in first-aid including CPR. The horses used in camp are all owned by Verdi Trails West and also participate in our regular year-around horsemanship instruction programs.

Lunch will be provided every day. On Friday of each week of the camp, families of the campers are invited to a lunch barbecue.

Cost for the week-long camp is $400.00 with a non-refundable deposit of $150.00 due when you register.
